Open evening

Your visit will include a demonstration of our large Newtonian Telescope and a chance to look through our telescopes to view the Moon or other prominent objects visible at the time. Our team will be available to answer your questions and guide you through your tour. 

Also, you will have the opportunity to experience the wonders of the universe in our new state of the art Planetarium.  

You can also browse our exhibitions housed in the Victorian reservoir and on the first floor, and relax in our cafe and enjoy light refreshments.

Please note: When attending this event please plan your journey to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the event begins, as entry into the Science Centre & Observatory buildings will not be permitted before the event start time shown on your ticket.
