Gemma Seeley Book Launch and Activities Event - Ursa and the search for Big Bear

Join us at Sherwood Observatory to meet author Gemma Sealey and illustrator Angela Hewitt for the launch of their brand-new book!

An interstellar adventure like no other, this gentle tale of bravery and love is played out across the vastness of space. A remarkable and enchanting introduction to our night skies and the constellations that will take you on an unforgettable voyage of discovery.

About the author
Gemma has been dreaming up characters and scribbling down stories since she was old enough to hold a pencil.
Her debut picture book is inspired by the wonders of the natural world and her own childhood adventures.
By day, Gemma is an SEND teacher. But on a clear night, you can find her stargazing with her cat, Wednesday.

This event is packed with space activities for families - especially for those with children between the ages of 3 and 7.

The ticket price includes:

An introduction held in our former Victorian Reservoir exhibition space, with the opportunity to buy signed copies of the book.

Story time delivered by Gemma in the planetarium, with wonderful visuals projected on our 360 degree planetarium dome - including of course, Ursa!

Craft activities held in our cafe area.

An opportunity to browse the amazing exhibits at the Centre.

Tickets are £7.50 for an adult, £6 for a child (4-15) and free for children age 3 and under. Please note that under 16's must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
